Rooms

There are multiple room and villa options available to choose from at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, making it one of the most versatile places to stay in Fiji when it comes to making groups and families happy. Let’s break it down, shall we?

Marriott Momi Bay Overwater Bures

On one side of the resort, you have rooms that resemble traditional hotel rooms. These are part of a block and typically have views of the lagoon.

On the resorts peninsula, you’ll find the oceanview bures and villas that are a bit more spacious than the hotel rooms, and these come in either double or family-friendly configurations. These rooms have access either to the ocean or the lagoon, all have large private balconies.

Finally, there are the overwater bures, reserved for adults only. These rooms are of course what Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay is famous for. Spacious and well-appointed, these certainly have a luxury appeal.

Overwater Bures at Marriott Fiji

Our top pick are the oceanfront bures. You might be wondering, why not the overwater bures? While the overwater bures are spacious and no doubt romantic, the resort is built around them with a popular hang-out beach nearby. This takes away from the element of privacy. However, there’s no doubt there’s an element of novelty to them. The oceanfront bures hold a little better value for money, are just as spacious and luxurious, and have the added perk of being able to relax directly on the beach.

Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay Beach Front

If you are conscious of cost, we recommend sleeping one or two nights in one of the other room options, and ending your stay in an overwater bure.

Best room for families: Adjoining family bure or family lagoon front room.
Best room for novelty: Overwater bure.
Best room for couples: Overwater bure or oceanfront bure.

Bars and Restaurants

The dining is top-tier at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, with their buffet breakfast being second to none in Fiji. Some of the writers at Tropical Go have even been known to skip lunch following a morning spent at the buffet! The main restaurant onsite is Goji Kitchen & Bar, primarily serving Asian-Fusion. The menu changes depending on the night.

The Fish Bar is one of the major allures of the resort, set alongside an infinity pool. It serves seafood, barbecued meats, cocktails, and a small sampling of vegetarian-friendly fare in a casual atmosphere.

Pastas, pizzas, and burgers are served at the Lagoon Lounge and Bar, complete with a swim-up bar. The resort also offers in-room dining, as expected.

The range of dining options means you won’t be bored even if you spend all your time at the resort.

Evening entertainment: The resort regularly hosts entertainment performances like mekes and fire dances. The main reception area also has a hangout spot if you want to play a game of cards long after the lights go out.

How to get to Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay

From Nadi, the resort is south along Queens Road, turning at the sign marked for the resort. It is not easy to access public transport from the resort, so it’s best to hire a driver or rent a car.
